Join me, Qian from Snake Ceramic Berlin, for an immersive 7-day pottery retreat in Jingdezhen, the birthplace of porcelain!

This retreat offers a unique opportunity to explore traditional Chinese ceramic techniques, from throwing and hand-building to Qinghua (blue and white) painting and wood firing. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced potter, this journey will deepen your skills and connection with clay in a stunning countryside setting.

🌏Language & Teaching Support

The retreat will be led by an experienced instructor who will teach in Chinese. To ensure a smooth learning experience, I will be there to provide translation to English , hands-on assistance, and co-teaching support for beginner students.

✨ Sample Itinerary:

📌 Day 1: Arrival, intro to wood firing, wheel-throwing practice

📌 Day 2: Visit a large wood-fired kiln in town, throwing/hand-building

📌 Day 3: Trimming & personal project work

📌 Day 4: Qinghua painting, bisque kiln loading

📌 Day 5: Bisque kiln opening, wood kiln loading

📌 Day 6: Firing day – stoking the kiln with pinewood

📌 Day 7: Kiln opening, finishing touches, check-out

💰 Price & Booking:

🔹 €1,400 – Single bed room ( 8 available)

🔹 €1,300 – Double bed room (4 available, price per person)

❌ Transportation to/from the retreat (airport pickup available for €15 per trip)
